I absolutely love when I get to photograph multiple phases in people's lives. The last time I'd photographed Heather and Zac's sweet family, Casimir was just a tiny little nugget. Now he's a very busy, sweet, and adventurous little boy.

Something I've been thinking about a lot lately is how much gratitude changes the way we see the world we live in. I used to think my life was pointless if I wasn't constantly running off on an adventure, and every day I feel something sinking deeper into my spirit that it's all about how we see it. The magic of just existing, the gift of loving the people around us and being loved in return is the absolute best adventure. It costs us nothing, just the seemingly simple decision to see it that way.

“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.” ― A.A. Milne
