This is their son Judah; I can't believe how big he's getting! Photo shoots with little ones are some of my favorite. You never know what shots you're going to get, which could be nerve wracking, but it also leaves room for a lot of variety. And kids are so honest. If he's smiling in a picture, you know that's exactly how he feels in that moment, and that's pretty cool.
This family came into my life at a time when I really needed friends, and family, and they've been both to me. Uprooting my life in California to move to New York was one of the hardest things I've ever done, and it's taken some time figuring out what relationships to invest in.
After spending weeks at camp sharing our lives; sleeping on their guest room floor, waking up and eating breakfast together, spending the day working together to give the kids an awesome experience, coming home REAL beat and probably still soaked from water balloons. and then staying up all night playing games and sharing stories, it was clear that I'd found friends I could really lean on.
Community is so important, and I'm really proud of this family for valuing it so highly, and being so generous with their time and affection. Thanks for letting me take your photos, pals. It's an honor to know you.
